Nexa Bridge

When you register with Nexa Bridge, we need to store some information to associate you with your Bridge. We always strive to store as little information as possible. The data we save includes your email address, an encrypted password, your latest IP address, and which Bridges are linked to your account. We never share this information with any external parties, and we use it solely to provide a login system for Nexa Bridge.

All Other Information
All other information related to your devices, automations, schedules, etc., is stored locally on your Bridge.

Uploading Images
When using our apps, you have the option to upload images to your rooms. This is entirely optional and not required. When you upload an image, we name it based on the current time and a generated text string; this is the only information we save. We cannot associate an image with a specific user, nor can any external party view these images or similar data.

This is also why, if you switch Bridges, you will need to re-upload your images since we cannot access your old ones.

Push Notifications
To send notifications to your phone, we must save a specific “key” that identifies your phone. This key is provided by Apple or Google. It cannot, in any way, be used to identify you personally and can be changed at any time.

The information is stored on your Bridge and is only sent to us when you want to send a notification. When we receive the request to send a notification, we forward it to Apple or Google so they can deliver it.

SMS
In Nexa Bridge X, it is possible to send an SMS to selected contacts for specific alerts, such as when a water sensor detects water or a smoke detector detects smoke. Your contacts (names and phone numbers) are stored locally on your Nexa Bridge X. However, every time an SMS is sent, it goes through our servers and is forwarded to the phone. We do not save the text or phone number when the SMS is sent; we only track the number of SMS messages your Nexa Bridge X has sent. This count is reset on the 1st of every month.

Addons
With Nexa Bridge X, you can control your receivers and other devices, such as Sonos speakers or Philips Hue lights. This is done via something called add-ons. To determine which add-ons are the most popular, we collect statistics on this. This information (which add-ons are installed) is sent from your Nexa Bridge X every night.

Your Email
When you registered your Nexa Bridge, you provided an email address. We may sometimes use this to send you information specific to your Bridge, such as when updates are available or if there is an issue. You will not receive any newsletters from us unrelated to your Nexa Bridge.

Nexa Smart Hub

The first time you set up your Smart Hub, we send the serial number to our servers. We store this along with the time of the initial installation.

All data related to the Nexa Smart Hub remains locally on your phone until you choose to synchronize it. Once synchronized, the data is uploaded to our servers and stored there. The data is not updated until the next time you choose to synchronize.

The data that is synchronized includes everything related to your devices and timers, such as IDs, names, icons, start times, end times, and the devices associated with a timer. This ensures that we can restore it at a later time if needed.

If you wish to delete the data we have for your Nexa Smart Hub, you can contact us at support@nexa.se.

System Nexa 2
